Late evening: Sis returned from office with a comic book on Mahabharth for Papus and Paachu. It was my turn to narrate the stories and I took it as a test of my communication skills. Papus and I were on the sofa with the book in front of us. With all possible 3 d sounds and effects I moved on to the story. Papus listened carefully, without taking his eyes from the pictures in the book. Undoubtedly his hero was Bheema as he was obsessed with muscles. When I had almost completed the Kichaka-Vadha, I found him puzzled. I asked ‘any doubts??’. Lifted his round marble eyes from the book for the first time and looked at me. Pointing his tiny finger to Bheema’s legs he asked ‘Why doesn’t Bheema wear a chappal ?’

Thankfully my mobile rang then and I stealthily left the place.
