Went to sister’s house over the weekend. Sat in the sofa next to my mom and was talking to dad on some recent political affairs. I could feel some thrust on my tummy from the left side, which I did not care much. After some time, I found Paachu seated comfortably between me and my Mom. He does not like anybody sitting near his Grand mom. Be it anybody.

4-June-2011 : Grand Mom's B'day 2
Paachu did not go to school on account of his grand mom’s b’day(he was in fact looking for a reason.). My Mom called me on phone (Pachhu standing beside her and carefully listening) and reminded me that it was her b’day “Monkey!!! You forgot, it is my b’day today…”. And the conversation went on for an hour, in between which she said “nobody should scold me today, for it’s my b’day”. Once the conversation was over, Paachu asked my mom “Did he scold you?”. Mom was surprised at the question, however she nodded ‘yes’ and pretended to be sad. Paachu went near her and consoled “Why did you call him monkey? That is why he was angry. Anyways, when he comes over the weekend, I’ll scold him.Ok? Don’t be sad” Mom was taken aback on how well he connected the dots J
4-June-2011 : Grand Mom's B'day 1
My mom woke up in the morning and told Paachu that it was her b’day. Paachu disappeared into the kitchen and quickly came out with kitchen knife in his hand and asked “Ok..where is the cake ?”

3-June-2011
Every night when grandparents are there at home, Paachu takes a call – whether to sleep with grandparents or parents. One night his mom makes desperate attempt to hold him to her “Why don’t you sleep with me tonight, yesterday you were with grandparents”. “I sleep on grandmom’s tummy and grandfather narrates stories.” He put up his demands. His mom conceded. “OK, I too will narrate stories tonight. Now can you sleep with me”. Night fell. Paachu on bed with his mom. After one story, he said “one more”. It went on, till the 3rd story, after which his mom said “let’s sleep now”. His mom made moves to sleep. He quietly stepped out of the bed and proceeded towards his grandparent’s room – All are happy now :)

Scene: Paachu sitting between his mom and grand mom on bed. Mom to Paachu with a sad face “when you go to Palakkad – your grand mom’s place next week, I will be all alone till you come back”. Paachu consoles “ok, mom, in that case I am not going to Palakkad”. Grand mom takes her turn “you promised me that you’d be coming, else I will have to be all alone in Palakkad”. Paachu consoles “ok, grand ma, in that case I will come to Palakkad” - Art of pleasing all - :)

30-May-11
Grandparents took Paapu & Paachu to Fantasy water theme park in Palakkad. There was a water ride meant for adults, in which you slide through a tunnel in a tyre tube, and splash land to the water pool. Paapu looked at the ride and was intelligent enough to back out. Paachu on the other hand, wanted to give it a try. Grandfather took Paachu to the ride and the guy in charge of safety denied Paachu on grounds of his age. Later he allowed going by Paachu's attitude/will to do. Now, he was made to sit on the tyre tube and his grandfather left him from the top and grand mom was waiting at the bottom to collect him. 30 seconds after he was dropped from one end, the tyre came alone at the other end. Paachu came tumbling after and splashed into the pool where the tunnel ends. He stood up in the pool, ensured all is well, went near his bro who was curiously watching what was going on and said, ‘Be careful when you play in water’. Somebody rightly said ‘A ship is safe in harbor, but that's not what ships are for’.
Note: Might sound hard to believe but cent percent true.
